General Description:
Just south of Hammamet is Tunisia’s newest resort - Yasmine Hammamet.
The palm-tree lined promenade is adjacent to one of the longest golden
sandy beaches in Tunisia. This modern and luxurious resort is blessed with fine hotels, the majestic Medina Mediterranea, an international standard marina, and many shops, cafés and restaurants.
Family entertainment is to be found at Carthage Land Theme Park and Tunisia’s first ice rink at The Blue Ice complex. At night the Cabaret Restaurant Sheherazade whisks you into an atmosphere worthy of the One Thousand and One Nights, 2000 sq metres of games are available at the Casino of The Médina and various nightclubs can be found in the resort.

What to see:
A must see is the former house and gardens of one of Hammamet’s most famous residents George Sebastian - Sebastian House. Between 1932 and 1962 the Sebastian’s house welcomed the most talented creators, the most famous intellectuals and some of the most important personalities of this century including Sir Winston Churchill. Now the International Cultural Centre of Hammamet, you can make a tour of the house and gardens, enjoy refreshments around the sumptuous pool and during the balmy summer months enjoy the Arts in the delightful open-air amphitheatre.
Where to go:
Yasmine Hammamet is ideally placed for visiting the Cap Bon region, often described as the “Garden of Tunisia”. Close by is the region’s capital Nabeul, recognised as the leading town for Tunisian craftsmanship, where you will find pottery (an activity which dates back to the Roman times), embroidery and the distillation of perfumes using orange blossom and jasmine. A colourful market is held every week on a Friday. You can take a full day excursion which visits all the important sites.
Golf:Just outside the town and on the main route to Tunis are two Golf Clubs of international standard. Golf Citrus has two par 72 18-hole championship courses. Guests of the Aziza Thalasso Golf, Aziza Residence, Sindbad, Iberostar Phenicia and the Mediterranee Thalasso Golf can enjoy reduced green fees. Golf Yasmine is an 18-hole par 72 course of 6115 metres by architect Ronald Fream which has a 9 hole school course. Green fees in Tunisia are amongst the most reasonable in Europe and tee-off times and fees can be pre-booked and prepaid in the UK before you travel.
Diving:The OdySea Diving School located at Hotel Le Sultan is a PADI certified dive centre that offers the full range of PADI Courses, from beginner up to DiveMasters and intro dives from the beach or a boat. They take care to keep groups small and the atmosphere easy-going. Classrooms are equipped with air-conditioning, TV, video and all teaching materials are available in English. The diving equipment is new and care is taken to maintain it.
